On October 5, stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze returned as host Saturday evening liveafter debuting in October 2023. The episode featured a sequel to Bargatze’s “Washington’s Dream” sketch, and featured Marcello Hernández as Don Francisco in a parody of the classic Sabado Gigante variety show.

The cold open brought back Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg and Dana Carvey for a parody of the vice presidential debate. There was also a new one SNL Digital short film, ‘Sushi Glory Hole’, which marked the surprise reunion of two-thirds of the comedy trio The Lonely Island. The musical guest was Coldplay, who performed songs from their latest album, Moon Music.

This will be the second time that the Eternal sunshine singer has hosted SNL. Grande made her hosting debut on March 12, 2016, serving double duty as host and musical guest, following a turn as musical guest in 2014. SNL appearance was when she was the musical guest for Josh Brolin season 49 SNL episode, in which she starred in two skits.

Grande – along with SNL cast member Bowen Yang – star in the film adaptation of Badwhich hits theaters on November 22.

Who is the musical guest?

Stevie Nicks.

It’s been over 40 years since the singer and Fleetwood Mac legend was last bewitched SNL viewers. As musical guest on December 10, 1983, she performed “Stand Back” and “Nightbird” from her second solo album, The wild heartand who knows what kind of magic spell she will cast this time. Sounds like the perfect time to revisit Stevie Nicks’ Fajita Roundup.

On September 27, Nicks released her latest single, “The Lighthouse,” a powerful women’s rights song she wrote after the overturn of Roe v. Wade.
