The Israeli military says that “the State of Israel, like every other sovereign country in the world, has the right and obligation to respond” as “the regime in Iran and its allies in the region… have been ruthlessly attacking Israel” since October 7 2023.

“Our defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized,” the military said.

“We will do whatever is necessary to defend the State of Israel and the people of Israel,” it added.
