It’s official: Starting today, the TSA will allow these 11 liquids to pass through airport checkpoints, regardless of size

Prepare for a surprise that will revolutionize your next airport experience! In an unprecedented move, the TSA just announced a radical change that will allow passengers to carry certain full-size liquids in their carry-on luggage without any hassle. That’s right, for the first time in history, you can get through security with these 11 essential liquids, regardless of the size of the containers! Find out what these products are and how this change can change your next trip.

What do we know so far?

What was the norm after 9/11 is going to undergo a major change. Soon you’ll be able to carry full-size liquid products in your carry-on without an officer pointing to the trash can (how many millions of dollars have those trash cans eaten up in cosmetics and liquids?). Forget that, below we tell you which essential liquids you can take with you in real size in your luggage.

The New York Post speculates on this news, which would mean the official repeal of the 3-1-1 rule (which requires that liquids be stored in small bottles of no more than 100 ml, that they together do not exceed 1 liter ). between them and that they are packed in a clear plastic bag with a zipper).

The computed tomography (CT) scanners that airports use to detect illegal or dangerous substances will not be phased out, but they will allow personal hygiene products (such as soap, make-up or cologne) to travel in our regular hand luggage -on luggage.

Changes at other airports

There are already many airports where this measure is outdated and you can travel without any problems without having your fluids taken away, especially in Europe where the abolition of this restriction has been most seen.

The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) will soon inform its employees that it hopes to eliminate this limit in the near future, but for now they should continue as they have been doing.

List of products that will not be restricted in the very near future:

There are twelve products that the TSA has classified as “necessary” for travelers, and these are no more and no less than those related to daily use and essential for some travelers. Their health and especially their well-being depend on them.

  1. If you’re traveling with a baby, you can now take breast milk or formula with you in the amount you need without worrying about the limits.
  2. For parents, water and baby food can also travel on the flight; No one wants their baby crying from hunger on the plane and annoying other travelers.
  3. Liquid medicines. They can be taken with you without any problems, but the TSA recommends that you bring a prescription document stating that this medication must travel with you.
  4. Hydroalcoholic gel to disinfect your hands. It became essential during the COVID crisis and it seems it has stayed with us. you can get through it without any problems (although it will be a bit strange if you have 1L of this product with you).
  5. For people with allergies and asthma, nasal sprays and saline solutions can be taken without problems and without volume limits. You can also bring liquids for the inhalation devices you need.
  6. Artificial tears and eye drops. Contact lens wearers or people with dry eyes need no justification for carrying your bottle of this liquid.
  7. Likewise, you can take contact lens solution with you, don’t be afraid.
  8. Deodorant in a spray can (obviously non-flammable), both for the body and for the hair.
  9. Cleaning fluid for dental prostheses.
  10. Creams and lotions for medical use (preferably with a prescription, just in case).
  11. Live fish transported in water and other specimens.
  12. Freezer or ice packs in case you need to bring medical items that require cold.

So pack your bags, because soon you’ll be able to take more things with you without having to worry about them being thrown away!
