Customers who return their red cups to Starbucks locations will receive a $0.10 discount on their orders. Starbucks Rewards members who use the Starbucks app To order drinks, you’ll get 25 bonus stars, which Starbucks says are worth up to $1. The coffee giant notes that customers can bring any form of reusable cup to redeem the discounts.

Starbucks added that it is encouraging customers to use reusable cups to achieve its stated goal of reducing waste by 50% by 2030.

The promotion is also a way to drive traffic to the company’s stores some consumers seem to be losing their taste for its Joe brand. The retailer launched its signature Pumpkin Spice Latte drink earlier than ever this year, amid declining store traffic and a decline in sales.
