Jaguars’ Doug Pederson non-committed on Trevor Lawrence after Bills loss: ‘Everything’s on the table’

As the winds of change blow, everything is on the table when it comes to problem solving Jacksonville Jaguars struggles – maybe even a change at quarterback.

After a stunning loss against the Buffalo Bills Head coach Doug Pederson appeared cagey on primetime Monday night about whether these changes would impact fourth-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

“There’s got to be changes, whether it’s game design, personnel, everything,” Pederson told reporters after the 47-10 loss, via ESPN. “Everything’s on the table, let’s call it that, and those are all things that I have to look at, that we as a staff have to look at and make the adjustments.”

When asked if these changes also applied to the starting lineup, including Lawrence, Pederson appeared to ignore any details.

“You say everything is on the table, we have to look at injuries,” he said. “Tonight we had a couple of guys injured. We can go that way. Performance can go too. It’s all things we have to evaluate as we go forward.”

BILLS LEAVE JAGUARS IN THE DUST WITH JOSH ALLEN’S 4 TOUCHDOWN PASSES

A general re-evaluation is certainly needed. The Jags are averaging the third-fewest points in the league through Week 3 at just 13.3, which is also a franchise low since 2013. The defense isn’t much better, allowing 361 yards per game with no turnovers and just five sacks.

To make matters worse, the Jaguars are scheduled to take on the Houston Texanstheir rival in the AFC South, on a short week that could see them go 0-4 for just the sixth time in franchise history.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Pederson was asked about his own job security. He said those conversations are private, but added that owner Shad Khan has been “very supportive” of his efforts to turn things around.
