Jake Paul’s MMA challenge to Conor McGregor after beating Mike Tyson

Jake Paul challenged Conor McGregor on Saturday, November 16, after scoring a monumental victory over Mike Tyson in the NetFlix fight in Dallas, Texas. Paul defeated Tyson via unanimous decision in a controversial fight that drew criticism from around the world.

McGregor was among the stars who panned the fight in a now-deleted tweet, saying it was a 16-minute sparring session and nothing more. Paul would go to X after his win over Tyson and issue an MMA challenge to the UFC star. In his tweet, the 27-year-old claimed McGregor told his team he would fight the Problem Child at 170 pounds, but admitted that would never happen. Paul would go on to say that both men could instead fight in the octagon without a weight class.

Paul ended the tweet by taking a shot at McGregor and claiming he would never take the fight.

“Dear Conor, I know you told my team you would fight me at 170 pounds. That will never happen. But let’s do it in MMA. No weight class. Just like it used to be done. But that won’t happen ” said Paul. X.

McGregor will never do that

After the Tyson fight, Paul was said to comment on the chances of a fight against McGregor in the boxing ring. Paul claimed McGregor would never fight him due to his UFC commitments.

Paul is convinced that if he were to face McGregor, the fight would end the same way as his previous fights – with McGregor hitting the canvas.

“Yeah, he’ll never do that though,” Paul admitted, as quoted by Express US, about a potential fight with the MMA star.

‘He knows. He is not his own boss. It’s easy to say that Conor McGregor doesn’t want to fight Jake Paul, but it’s the truth. Watch him take on Nate Diaz, which was easy. work for me. It was like a Monday sparring session.”

McGregor last fought in the UFC in July 2021.
