Jameis Winston was Real ready to play football on Thursday.

Actually, maybe he was ready for the ‘battle’.

Regardless, the Browns quarterback was excited to take on the Steelers, and he made that clear in a unique interview with Prime Video’s Kaylee Hartung on the field before the procedure.

When asked what it would take to beat the rival Steelers, who are 8-2, Winston was ready to go with his answer.

“The horse prepares for battle, but the victory comes from the Lord. So I depend on the Lord,” he said.

When asked in a follow-up conversation if that was the message to the team, Winston replied: “Play every day, play once, that’s the message.”

But when asked about the consequences of playing in wintry conditions, with howling winds, light snow falling and temperatures dipping to around freezing, Winston grinned widely before giving his enthusiastic answer.

“I’m so happy and grateful that the lord blessed me to play in some snow,” the quarterback said. “To be in real football weather today, in Cleveland, Ohio at Huntington Bank Field – to bring him the glory. It’s a beautiful day.”

The game was something of a history for Winston, who has never played in a game that was 40 degrees or colder at kickoff, according to NFL Network.

Entering the night, Winston is 1-2 while throwing for 1,047 yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions since taking over as starter for the injured Deshaun Watson.

He is coming off a game in which he threw for a season-high 395 yards against the Saints.

But now he gets to go from a domed environment to snowy Cleveland.
