Jayson Tatum pops up, Trae Young, more

The Boston Celtics found themselves in a tough spot after the first half of their game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night. Milwaukee scored 69 points, but Boston held them to 38 in the second half and climbed all the way back to earn a 113-107 victory. The win moved the Celtics to 9-2 on the year.

As for the Atlanta Hawks, they are 3-7 this season. They have lost their last two games, and when they last played the Celtics, they suffered a 30-point loss to a team without Jaylen Brown. Now they enter Tuesday night’s NBA Cup game without their top star.

Here are the injury reports for the Celtics game against the Hawks on Tuesday, November 12.

Kristaps Porzingis is still out and likely won’t return until around December as he continues to recover from offseason surgery.

Although Brown is no longer on the injury report, Jayson Tatum is a new signing after he injured his ankle in the last match. Giannis Antetokounmpo stepped under him on a jump shot, and Tatum twisted his ankle.

No flagrant foul was called and Tatum and head coach Joe Mazzulla were understandably upset. Tatum finished the game against Milwaukee and he was listed as questionable before being made available.

Al Horford was questionable due to a sprained toe, but it’s probably just the Celtics’ way of sitting him out on a back-to-back night while Boston plays the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. Horford was made available for the game against the Hawks, meaning he will almost certainly be out against the Nets on Wednesday.

Jaden Springer missed the last game against the Bucks, and he is still questionable entering this game with left knee tendinopathy.

Most noticeably, Trae Young has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Celtics. He is dealing with right Achilles tendonitis.

Bogdan Bogdanovic And Vit Krejci both suffer from long-term injuries. Bogdanovic underwent a procedure to correct a hamstring problem and Krecji is dealing with a thigh condition. Both miss several weeks.

In addition, De’Andre Hunter And Seth Lundy have both been ruled out for the game against the Celtics, the former due to personal reasons and the latter due to an ankle issue.

Here’s what the Celtics will likely roll with (with and without Tatum):
