Jermaine Jenas has revealed that even his dog has turned against him since he was sacked from the BBC over his sex messages.

The former One Show presenter is trying to save his 13-year marriage to Ellie Penfold, who he says was ‘completely mad’.

But now it seems he has angered his faithful four-legged friend at home as well.

Jenas, 41, admitted that “even my dog ​​looked at me with disappointment” after allegations emerged that he had sent inappropriate text messages.

He was dismissed by the Corporation after complaints about his behaviour were raised by a junior employee who raised concerns about the flirtatious text messages.

Jenas’ family dog, a Rottweiler-type, is believed to be a guard dog trained by the company Chaperone K9

Jenas’ pet is said to be one of the guard dogs that Chaperone K9 has trained for football players.

The firm’s clients include stars such as Marcus Rashford, Mark Noble, Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba, all of whom have spent thousands of pounds on watchdogs.

Jenas’ dog also recently featured in a bizarre video the former Premier League player posted before he was sacked by the BBC.

The clip sees the former One Show presenter bragging about ‘getting the coin’ before downing a pint, adding: ‘You just feel like you’ve earned it, you feel like you deserve it.’

Towards the end of the clip, the camera can be seen panning to his Rottweiler-like dog.

Jenas also revealed he had had “difficult conversations” with his children after receiving the first calls from the BBC during a family holiday in Marbella.

He told the Sun he feared his two eldest daughters, aged 11 and 16, would be bullied because of his scandal.

Jenas began co-presenting a talkSPORT drive-time show moments after it was announced that he had been removed from all BBC presenting duties. It has since been confirmed that he will no longer appear on the station ‘for the foreseeable future’.

The bosses of the radio station and TNT Sports are said to be taking the allegations of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ very seriously and have launched their own investigation.

Just hours after being axed from the programme, Jenas was removed from The One Show’s Facebook cover photo, while a Match of the Day mural featuring him was removed from the BBC’s Quay House building in Salford.

Also on the website of the employment agency M&C Saatchi Merlin a reference to the former footballer seems to have been removed. His bio page now shows the message ‘not found’.

The former footballer was also the face of L’Oréal’s ‘WingMen’ campaign, alongside Jamie Redknapp and Peter Crouch, promoting skincare products for fathers.

The father of four said he broke the news of his firing to his wife on Monday, who he said kicked him out of the bedroom and “just made sure the kids were okay.”

Although the couple reportedly haven’t spoken, Jenas praised Penfold, 26, as a “wonderful wife.”

He said, ‘My wife is solid and she’s great. She’s nice. She just needs some time.’
