With the NFL trade deadline just over a week away, it was notable to see Patriots pass rusher Joshua Uche who was inactive in Sunday’s win over the Jets.

Uche, who is on a one-year contract, was not listed on the Patriots’ injury report. He was a trade candidate last season, but ultimately stayed with the Patriots.

“It was just a healthy scratch and we also had to field the best team that gives us the best chance to win,” head coach Jerod Mayo said Monday morning about Uche’s absence.
