Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will have to heavily reassess his franchise after their 34-10 loss to the 7-4 Houston Texans.

In a game dominated by Houston, the Cowboys managed to cut the deficit to a touchdown by halftime, but were shut out in the second half as the Texans scored 17 unanswered points.

Amid a game riddled with poor decision-making on the Dallas sideline, the Cowboys fell to 3-7 on the season and now sit in third place in the NFC East.

Dallas is sticking by their decision to start 30-year veteran Cooper Rush despite pleas from fans to give fourth-year player Trey Lance a shot at the position during the team’s five-game losing streak.

Rush finished Monday night completing 32 of 55 throws with one touchdown, one interception and two fumbles. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had eight catches for 93 yards.

The quarterback wasn’t solely responsible for the loss, as another major problem for the Cowboys was their offensive line, as Rush was sacked five times.

On the other side of the ball, Houston second-year quarterback CJ Stroud completed 23 of 34 passes for 257 yards, with one interception. Running back Joe Mixon added 20 carries for 109 yards and three touchdowns.

This isn’t the first time this season that Jones and the Cowboys have come under scrutiny.

In Week 6, the Cowboys suffered a brutal 47-9 loss at home to the Detroit Lions, leading Jones to admit it was “very concerning” and “very humiliating,” according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.

With the pressure mounting, it seems inevitable that the Cowboys will face a coaching change as Mike McCarthy’s job hangs in the balance.

“There’s a lot of speculation going around about what the Cowboys will do,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter continued Countdown on Monday evening. “People have even thought about Bill Belichick, who was spotted in Dallas last week. It can be confirmed that Bill Belichick was in Dallas last week, but it was not for a meeting with the Cowboys, but for a previously scheduled speaking engagement.”

Cowboys fans are jumping off the bandwagon as the team’s disappointing season continues.
