Jets’ Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh share tense interaction after TD vs. Patriots

Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh were both excited after the New York Jets built a 14-0 lead over the New England Patriots in the second quarter of their “Thursday Night Football” game.

However, it seemed that Rodgers felt that his head coach was a little at pumped up after Breece Hall’s touchdown run.

Rodgers was happy to briefly shake Saleh’s hand. But when his head coach embraced him, Rodgers appeared to push his coach away, as seen in a video captured by the Amazon Prime broadcast.

Rodgers followed his arm-bar with an icy glare at Saleh. That was the icing on the cake for the most cringeworthy moment of TNF’s first half.

It is not clear why Rodgers pushed his coach aside. He appeared angry and certainly said something to Saleh during the meeting.

Perhaps the 40-year-old quarterback was giving the coach some constructive criticism. Rodgers also may have just wanted to stay in the zone after a strong start to the game in which he completed 12 of 14 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown.

Either way, Rodgers and Saleh will likely be asked to address the postgame confab. Until then, NFL fans will have to speculate about what happened during the most interesting five seconds of the first half.
