JIM GAFFIGAN ADDS THIRD PERFORMANCE TO FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW & RODEO AUDITORIUM ENTERTAINMENT SERIES – The Gilmer Mirror

(FORT WORTH, TEXAS, November 14, 2024) – Due to overwhelming fan demand, three-time Emmy award-winning comedian Jim Gaffigan is adding a third show to kick off the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Auditorium Entertainment Series as he launches his Everything is Awesome! tour, featuring all new material, to Will Rogers Auditorium on Thursday, January 30, Friday, January 31 AND now on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 15 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com. A ticket to the performance includes admission to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo grounds (rodeo performances require a separate ticket). Jim Gaffigan is a seven-time Grammy-nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, two-time New York Times bestselling author, three-time Emmy-winning top touring artist and a multi-platinum selling recording artist. He is known around the world for his unique brand of humor, which largely revolves around his observations of life. Its 11e special, The Skinny, premieres on Hulu on November 22i.e as the streamer’s first-ever original stand-up special for their new comedy vertical. He can also currently be seen on Saturday Night Live as vice presidential candidate Tim Walz during the show’s 50e anniversary season.

Gaffigan is a top ten comedian according to Forbes’ most recent comedy list and the top ten earning comedian in Pollstar. He let go of his 10e comedy special Dark Pale on Amazon Prime Video last year, an unprecedented achievement for the comedian/actor. Dark Pale received critical fanfare, with The New York Times calling it “his best yet.”

Last fall, Gaffigan co-headlined a sold-out multi-city arena tour with Jerry Seinfeld and in May 2024 sold out two shows at The Hollywood Bowl during the Netflix Is Joke Festival. Gaffigan and Seinfeld recently announced their second tour together, with tickets currently available at JimGaffigan.com.

In 2021, Gaffigan released his 9e special, Comedy Monster, on Netflix, nominated for a Grammy Award. He was also recently rewarded for being the first comedian to reach one billion streams on Pandora.

Gaffigan can currently be seen opposite co-stars Jerry Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy, James Marsden and Hugh Grant in Netflix’s Unfrosted, which debuted as the No. 1 movie in the world on Netflix in May. He can also currently be seen starring in the top-rated and certified new sci-fi drama Linoleum, which was named one of Vulture.com’s Best Films of 2023 and is currently streaming on Hulu following a theatrical release.

Gaffigan played the role of Mr. Smee in Disney’s Peter Pan and Wendy, opposite Jude Law and Yara Shahidi. Gaffigan also recently premiered and joined the cast of HBO Max’s Full Circle, a limited series from Steven Soderbergh and Ed Solomon that follows an investigation into a botched kidnapping, pitting multiple characters and cultures in modern-day New York be associated.

On screen, his many credits include Three Kings, Super Troopers 1 & 2 and Chappaquiddick. 2019 was Gaffigan’s biggest film year to date with a whopping eight films released, three of which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, including Troop Zero starring Viola Davis and Alison Janney, Them That Follow and Light From Light – attracting many festival-goers and press dubbed Gaffigan the “King of Sundance.” Gaffigan also recently appeared in Disney/Pixar’s highly anticipated animated film, Luca, opposite Jacob Tremblay and Maya Rudolph.

Gaffigan recently had two films in which he debuted as a lead actor. The comedy film Being Frank and American Dreamer, a dark thriller in which he plays the role of a ride-sharing app worker who serves as a private driver for a drug dealer. Gaffigan can also currently be seen opposite Ethan Hawke in IFC Films’ Tesla, and opposite Josh Hartnett in Saban Films’ Most Wanted.

In addition to two seasons of the critically acclaimed semi-autobiographical The Jim Gaffigan Show, which he co-wrote and produced with his wife Jeannie, Gaffigan has guest-starred in many television comedies and dramas, ranging from Portlandia and Bob’s Burgers to the HBO cult hits Flight of the Concords to dramatic roles in Law & Order.

Gaffigan regularly provides humorous commentary on CBS Sunday Morning, for which he has won three Emmys. In 2018, Jim was master of ceremonies at the Al Smith Memorial dinner. In 2015, Gaffigan had the great honor of performing for Pope Francis and more than 1 million festival attendees at the Festival of Families in Philadelphia.
