Lorna Luftthe daughter of The Wizard of Oz star Judy Garland and businessman Sidney Luftwent to look at the Bad film adaptation starring Cynthia Erivo And Ariana Grandewho shared her honest thoughts about the film.

The newest addition to the Wizard of Oz universe officially hits theaters on November 22, but the cast has been attending premieres around the world for promotion, allowing certain people like Luft to get an early look at the film.

Luft took to Instagram on November 13 to share some photos from a New York City premiere where she saw the film and met the director Jon M Chu. She started the post by saying, “Hello everyone, I just saw the screening of the movie #Wicked in New York, and here is my review…”

She excitedly wrote: “This film is amazing! It’s epic, brilliant, moving and honest. It’s breathtaking to watch… the sets, costumes, make-up, performances, choreography and the entire scope of the film are everything I see.” wanted it to be that way.”

Luft then called Chu a “genius,” before saying that she told him that “he picked up the torch, the broom and the wand and carried them forward,” and also thanked him “for adding him to the family.”

She had equally high praise for the film’s stars, Grande and Erivo, stating that they are “downright gorgeous! They take you on an emotional rollercoaster, and you better hold on tight.”

The 71-year-old also called out the rest of the ‘phenomenal’ cast, before concluding with the message: ‘So all I can say to you is: go see it and be taken on the journey of the witches! because it is a ride full of joy! L ❤️🌈.”

Fans appreciated Luft’s honest words about the Bad movie, with one person writing in the comments that it was “The only review that matters!”

“I was hoping and praying that you would share your thoughts on this!! I just know your mom would have loved this movie and would be so proud!” said another.

Garland is known for his starring role in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz as main character Dorothy Gale, who is transported to the strange world of Oz with her little dog Toto.
