Kamala Harris ‘Has the IQ of a fence post’

Kamala Harris has clearly proven to be the most popular presidential candidate among the entertainment industry’s talent this election, with recent campaign appearances from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Julia Roberts and Spike Lee. But Donald Trump can now count a new Hollywood name among his supporters: Mel Gibson. In a new video published by TMZ on Thursday evening, Gibson offered a brief interview to a cameraman while on his way to TSA at an airport.

“I don’t think it will surprise anyone I vote for,” Gibson said. After some thought, the cameraman answers: “I’m going to guess Trump. Is that a bad assessment?”

“I think that’s a pretty good guess,” Gibson replied. ‘I know what it will be like if we let her in. And that’s not good. A miserable track record. No policies to talk about. She has the IQ of a fence post.”

Gibson, one of the most in-demand major actors of the late 20th century and an Oscar-winning director for “Braveheart,” has not been the most outspoken political mind in the press in recent years, although he has been documented saluting former president Trump at a UFC match in 2021. The actor’s jab at Harris echoes a frequent attack on Harris by Trump, who has often called her a candidate with a “low IQ” in recent campaign appearances.

Earlier this year, Trump expressed his own love for Gibson on his social media platform Truth Social, sharing a meme with images of a clean-cut Gibson and the actor’s more battle-worn look in “Braveheart,” with each captioned ” I’m voting for Trump” in 2016 and 2024 respectively. He added the line: “Anyway, Mel Gibson is AWESOME!”

After helming box office hits like “The Passion of the Christ” and “Apocalypto,” Gibson largely left the industry for several years after he was arrested for drunken driving in 2006 and recorded launching an anti-Semitic tirade. Leaked tapes in 2010 documented further racist comments from Gibson, including the use of insults, against his then-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. She later claimed he was physically abusive.

Since that hiatus, Gibson has continued to work regularly as an actor. He made a prestigious comeback in 2016 with the war drama “Hacksaw Ridge,” which earned him an Oscar nomination for directing, as well as best picture and best actor nods for star Andrew Garfield.
