Kamala Harris, Michelle Obama in Kalamazoo

Vice President Kamala Harris returned to Michigan on Saturday, where he held a rally in Kalamazoo to kick off the statewide snap election along with former first lady Michelle Obama.

Harris’ latest visit to Michigan comes with less than two weeks until Election Day, Nov. 5. She is locked in a close race for the state with the Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump.

Trump was also in Michigan on Saturday – appearing at a rally in Novi after a Friday stop in Traverse City.

Michigan is considered crucial in determining the outcome of the presidential election. Opinion polls, both nationally and in Michigan, show a narrow margin between the candidates. The RealClearPolling average of recent Michigan polls showed Trump leading Harris by 0.2 percentage points as of Friday morning.
