Insiders have revealed that Katy is in advanced talks to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 10, which comes ten days before the release of 143.

It’s Katy’s first performance at the ceremony since 2019. She has won five of the most prized MTV Moonmen awards in her career.

Additionally, it marks the first time she’s performed her new material since her return to the music scene earlier this summer.

A source said: “Katy is currently in talks to make her big return to the VMAs stage.

“The details are still being worked out, but she’s a huge star and bosses are determined to get the deal done.

“The last time Katy performed on the show was in 2019, so it’s going to be a big moment.

“She’s already traveling the world promoting her new single, but next month will be even busier for her.

“Katy is one of the biggest pop superstars in the world and this new record and a performance at the VMAs would confirm that.”
