Lady Gaga is not caught in a “Bad Romance.”

The singer shared rare details in her Vogue cover story, published Thursday, about her meeting and engagement to fiancé Michael Polansky.

The Grammy winner’s mother, Cynthia Germanotta, first met the businessman through a “philanthropic overlap” and told Gaga, “I think I just met your husband.”

The songwriter remembers thinking, “I’m not ready to meet my man yet!”

However, she went to Sean Parker’s birthday party in September 2019 and kept asking about Polansky until they were finally introduced — and they “talked for three hours.”

The entrepreneur shared his first impressions with the magazine, enthusiastically saying that he was “immediately struck by her warmth and openness.”

The couple called each other for weeks before going on their first date, falling in love and quarantining together in Malibu, California, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“It was really special,” Gaga said. “I’d been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of that time was that I was able to completely focus on my relationship. I met a totally supportive, loving person who wanted to get to know me — outside of Lady Gaga.”

Polansky agreed, adding: “We had this wonderful chapter of a strange kind of normalcy that’s essential for any relationship to develop in a real way — going for walks, making coffee, hanging out with the dogs, reading books together.”

Gaga, who went on to praise her “smart and kind” partner who makes her “so happy,” revealed that Polansky proposed to her in April.

He got down on one knee after a day of rock climbing.

Speculation about the duo’s engagement was rife that same month, with Gaga flashing a massive diamond ring during a date in West Hollywood.

During the Paris Olympics in July, she called Polansky her “fiancé.”

A source told People at the time that the couple had been engaged for “several months” before Gaga’s confirmation.

The insider claimed: “The couple immediately shared the happy news with family and close friends, but wanted to keep the engagement private.”

The artist was previously engaged twice, to actor Taylor Kinney and talent manager Christian Carino.

Gaga insisted to her fans on Thursday that she and Polansky are “the right person for each other,” despite their “very different” lives.

She said, “I was in a really dark place. I was struggling for, like, a lot of years. …But everything started to change. Because I had a real friend who ways where I was unhappy and why. And he wasn’t afraid to really hold my hand. And get to know me. On a very deep level.”
