They improved to 2-3 during the exhibition season with a come-from-behind 128-122 win over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. Rookie wing Dalton Knecht went into volcano mode in the fourth quarter as Los Angeles overcame a significant deficit in the final minutes, and his hot shooting continued in overtime. He finished with 35 points and made eight of his thirteen three-point attempts.

The Lakers and Warriors played each other on Tuesday, with the Warriors easily prevailing, 111-94. In that game, LA made just 35.8% of its field goal attempts and shot 27.5% from three-point range.

LeBron James is expected to sit out Friday’s game, presumably to get some extra rest.
