If you’re looking for cooler or even colder weather, your wait is almost over. There may also be stormy conditions.

The warmer-than-normal heat of mid-October should give way to rapidly changing conditions starting Thursday, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

A cold front will bring a 30 percent chance of showers Thursday night after a high of 84. A high of 67 is expected Friday. Highs are forecast for this weekend in the low 70s.

Until cooler weather arrives, highs are expected in the low 90s through Wednesday.

Conditions will be similar to winter on Mount Charleston.

A high on Thursday near 56 with a chance of rain or snow showers is expected to produce a high on Friday near 41 with an overnight low around freezing.

The risk of snow showers remains into the weekend, with a forecast high of 44 on Saturday and 50 on Sunday.
