LINCOLN, Nebraska (LPS Athletics) – Lincoln East High School announced Wednesday that its game against Elkhorn South has been moved up until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at Seacrest Field.

This decision was taken as a precaution due to the predicted thunderstorms, so that the season opener could be played in a safe manner.

“Nebraska weather can change in an instant and we have contingency plans in place to keep our student-athletes, coaches, officials and fans safe,” said Zach Limbach, East Athletics and Activities Director. “By moving the game early, we will hopefully be able to play an exciting first game without weather delays. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.”
