If you think Lindsay Lohan needs bright colors and feather boas to channel the drama of her Confessions of a Teen Drama Queen self, you are wrong. On Thursday, the actor managed to deliver the same level of theatrics via an outfit consisting of all-black basics.

At the base, Lohan wore a mini dress with a halter neckline and a daring cutout at the bust. To take the look to the next level, she wore a mid-length coat with a light sheen over the mini. The outerwear was decorated with round, gold buttons, and Lohan wore it like a cape, with only one button at the top.

Lohan continued the monochrome with sheer black tights and knee-high leather boots with stiletto heels: an absolutely essential fall shoe for any closet. In one hand she carried Bottega Veneta’s luxurious woven leather bag, the East-West Andiamo, with the gold infinity sign accent. The piece retails for a hot $4,900.

The Mean girls star completed her look with oversized jet black shades and lots of white diamond jewelry, including large stud earrings and several rings. She wore bubblegum pink lip gloss and had her fiery hair in a wavy side part.

Lohan wore the look during a busy day of appointments in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. As you can see, the ensemble provided plenty of drama, although not of the teen variety, but rather a balanced, adult drama fit for a blossoming movie star, wife, and mother.
