Live college football scores, fixtures, updates: South Carolina at Alabama, Clemson at Wake Forest and more

It will be nearly impossible for Week 7 to match the chaos of Week 6, but the slate is packed with exciting matchups.

It features the first match of the season between teams ranked in the top three, and the country’s No. 1 team plays in a famous rivalry game at a neutral venue. The day must be tough.

These are the matches we will be watching closely on Saturday. Follow all the action live below.

Time: 3:30 PM | Television: ABC | Line: Texas -14.5 | Total: 50.5

Both teams will begin their rivalry game against the Cotton Bowl in the coming weeks. The Longhorns moved into first place in the AP Top 25 after losing to Alabama and Quinn Ewers is back in the starting lineup. Oklahoma will start true freshman Michael Hawkins for the second straight game. For the Sooners to pull off the upset, Hawkins needs to be fantastic and the run game needs to get on track.

Time: 3:30 PM | Television: CBS | Line: Penn State -5.5 | Total: 50.5

This game lost some of its luster after the Trojans fell to Minnesota last week. That knocked them out of the top 25 and crippled their chances of winning the Big Ten. However, it could still be a dangerous game for Penn State. Penn State’s offense has looked much better in 2024 after an offseason coordinator change, and the defense has allowed 12 or fewer points in four of five games.

Time: 7:30 PM | Television: NBC | Line: Ohio State -3.5 | Total: 52.5

The big game of the weekend should be a doozy. Opposing defenses haven’t solved OSU’s two-headed offense and a passing game featuring all-world freshman Jeremiah Smith. If the game comes down to quarterback play, Oregon could have the edge. Will Howard has been solid for the Buckeyes, but Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel leads the nation in completion percentage and has thrown for 1,449 yards.

Time: 7:30 PM | Television: ABC | Line: Ole Miss -3.5 | Total: 63.5

This game has everything you need for a shootout. The Rebels are averaging 44 points per game while LSU is scoring over 35 per game. QB Jaxson Dart has already thrown for 2,100 yards and LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier has thrown for 1,652 yards and 15 TDs in five games. The Tigers left in Week 6, while the Rebels bounced back from their first loss with a resounding victory over South Carolina.

Time: 10:15 PM | TV: ESPN | Line: Kansas State -4 | Total: 56.5

Kansas State is a good benchmark for what appears to be an improved Buffaloes squad. The team has already matched its 2023 win total and is just two wins away from making the bowl. The biggest test for Colorado will be up front on defense. Teams are averaging over 150 rushing yards per game against the Buffaloes and KSU RB DJ Giddens and QB Avery Johnson are each averaging 7.3 yards per carry.

Live34 updates

  • Touchdown Alabama!

The Crimson Tide are back in the lead after a wild turn in Tuscaloosa. It’s Jalen Milroe finding the end zone on a seven-yard run.

The two-point conversion is not good. Alabama up 20-19.

  • Alabama recovers fumble!

Just two plays later, the Crimson Tide has it back! South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers mishandled the ball and Alabama jumps on it.

The Tide has great field position again. What a wild couple is playing in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama drove to score and Jalen Milroe appeared to have a receiver open in the corner of the end zone, but a smart read by South Carolina’s O’Donnell Fortune ended with a pick in the end zone.

  • Halftime: Iowa 20, Washington 10

After all the strangeness on Washington’s FG attempt, Iowa scored in exactly the same way on a FG just before halftime, with the ball flying over the upright.

  • In a somewhat bizarre moment in that game, Washington made a field goal late. Iowa seemed to think it was a no-go and decided to challenge the play, but it was moot because it went over the uprights.

  • The Hawkeyes will lead at halftime in Iowa City after two first-half touchdowns from Kaleb Johnson.

  • Halftime: Alabama 14, South Carolina 12

Jalen Milroe makes another costly mistake with just seconds left in the half and Jalon Kilgore puts the pick back into field goal range for the Gamecocks, who are able to get three more points as time expires.

The Tide had things under control early in Tuscaloosa before a stunning finish at halftime. They allowed 12 points in the final 1:43 before intermission.

  • Fumble recovered by Alabama!

Now it’s Alabama getting turnovers in midfield. South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers made a poor decision when he attempted to throw the ball while being sacked, and ended up fumbling the ball, which was recovered by Alabama.

The Tide has it back with 48 seconds left in the half.

  • Safety South Carolina!

The Gamecocks add two more points to the board after an error by Alabama’s Jalen Milroe! The Bama QB dropped back into his own end zone from the 12-yard line and then threw the ball to no one, resulting in an intentional grounding and a safety.

South Carolina will have it back with all its timeouts and 1:30 left in the first half.

  • South Carolina Touchdown!

Facing a fourth-and-9 at the Bama 36-yard line, the Gamecocks shot deep into the end zone and took it! It’s LaNorris Sellers to Mazeo Bennett Jr. to cut Alabama’s lead with a score.

It’s 14-7 Crimson Tide with under 2 minutes left in the first half.

  • Clemson gets another TD

After another first-half interception, the Tigers went for it on the fourth goal and Phil Mafah again delivered.

    Clemson is now up 21-7.

  • Rutgers deep ball

Meanwhile, in Piscataway, the Scarlet Knights are driving to take an early lead in Wisconsin and just took this deep shot.

  • Clemson strikes again!

Clemson’s Kylon Griffin intercepted a pass from Wake Forest QB Hank Bachmeier just two plays later and the Tigers find themselves in the end zone AGAIN after a short run by Phil Mafah.

What a quick turnaround for Clemson!

  • Clemson records it

The Tigers respond in due time with a long drive of their own, capped off by a 22-yard TD pass from Cade Klubnik to Antonio Williams.

    It’s 7-7 in Winston-Salem.

  • Wake Forest beat Clemson 7-0

Meanwhile, the Demon Deacons are first on the board as they look to take down No. 10 Clemson.
