13:01: The Lions’ first drive of the game ends in a turnover: Jared Goff is intercepted at his own 35 on a tipped ball at the line of scrimmage on his third pass of the game, giving Houston a short field. Lions 0, Texans 0

Foreplay: The inactives include one good news and one bad news for the Lions. The bad: New edge rusher Za’Darius Smith is inactive; he joined the team mid-week, took a few days off as it was Cleveland’s bye week, and did not practice with the team until Friday. Ultimately, that wasn’t enough time for him to be active.

The good: Texans star wide receiver Nico Collins is also inactive after coming off IR this week due to a hamstring injury.
