Le Sserafim made their VMAs debut with a performance of their dance-pop hit “1-800 hot -n-fun” during the official MTV preshow.

The South Korean girl group, which includes Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha and Hong Eunchae, gave an energetic performance, complete with great choreography and powerful fireworks.

“Baby, can I spice up the party? / I like to dance when I’m at a party / I like to kiss everybody,” they sing in the song.

Fans of Le Sserafim first heard “1-800 – hot n fun” during their performance at Coachella 2024. It was later officially released, as the fourth track from their EP, CRAZY.

Le Sserafim are competing for the first time this year for a VMA, the award for MTV Push Performance of the Year.

Chappell Roan brought a very special accessory to the 2024 VMAs red carpet: a knight!

The pop singer turned heads in her medieval outfit, complete with sword, vintage dress and knight in full armor standing in the wings.

This is Roan’s first VMAs. She’s nominated for a pair of awards, including best new artist, and will perform her hit “Good Luck, Babe.”

Lenny Kravitz found a way to stay cool on the 2024 VMAs red carpet.

The 60-year-old rocker appeared on the show shirtless, but bare-chested.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Kravitz has made a shirtless fashion statement at an awards show. After all, he’s been putting in a lot of time in the gym — go figure.

But this time, Kravitz covered up a bit: he wore a black leather jacket and matching black leather tie, which he accessorized with a diamond brooch.

Kravitz will perform a medley of his hits, including “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” at the VMAs on Wednesday night.

Can Taylor Swift become the most awarded musician in VMAs history?

Taylor Swift might just be living in her era of history.

The singer tops this year’s VMA nominees list, with a whopping 12 nominations, including one for the coveted music video of the year for her collaboration with Post Malone, “Fortnight.”

Swift has already won the award for video of the year four times, so if she beats out fellow nominees Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, SZA and Eminem this year, it would only extend her record for most wins in the category.

But if Swift wins three or more “moon people” throughout the night, she will surpass Beyoncé as the artist with the most VMAs in history (the “Crazy in Love” singer has won 25 solo artist awards, while Swift currently has 23).

There’s at least one person supporting Swift: her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Speaking of a new episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast released on Wednesday, September 11, the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end said he hopes Swift “can go home with some… of those things tonight.”

“Those are always one of the cooler trophies,” he said. “The space guys.”
