As fans watch the latest episodes of Love Is Blind season 7, they’ve been trying to figure out if Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka are meant for each other — or if it’s a complete mismatch. Hannah, 26, and Nick, 29, got engaged in the fall of 2023 in the Washington, DC pods, which aired on Netflix earlier this year (…)

Nick assured Hannah he was “happy” with her, but Hannah wasn’t convinced. She pointed out that Katie – who she called her ‘best friend’ on the show – had come up to her and said Nick was ‘hot’ all night, but Nick claimed this had ‘nothing’ to do with him.

“Did you guys talk about how great I am, or were you guys talking about your past relationships?” She asked before going harder into him. ‘Are you mature enough Nick? Because I taught you everything you know. I turned you from a boy into a great man. I did everything for you.”

Although they decided to end the argument and go to bed, the awkwardness continued the next day when Nick met Hannah and her friends, who, like Hannah, questioned him about whether he was prepared for a woman.

“I know I can seem malicious or rude at times, but if you know me, you know it comes from a good place and sometimes the truth hurts,” Hannah said of comments she made to Nick in the past, where her friends agreed. “However, the truth hurts,” they said.

For his part, Nick said he understood Hannah’s position but felt she might be too hard on him. “You have questions about my maturity, social awareness, whether I can take care of you, whether I can take care of (the dog) Luna, whether I can live with you in your space, how our routines (will) fit together, am I am able to change my ways in this relationship,” he said. “That’s six things off the bat.”

Hannah assured him that she never doubted Nick’s “love for” her, but only if he was “ready to commit to me and be the husband I deserve.” Hannah continued that question the next day when she met her mother before going wedding dress shopping with the rest of the women from the cast.

“Nick is not a fit for me intellectually, Nick is not a fit for my humor, he is not a fit for me creatively, he is not a fit for me financially,” she explained. “And when he met my friends yesterday, they didn’t like him.”

While Hannah’s mother tried to convince her daughter that “none of that matters” if she and Nick “love each other,” Hannah didn’t budge. “I really love him, that’s why I’m still here, (but) I feel like I’m learning how to love and be in a relationship, and that’s not really fair to me.”

After Hannah’s mother left, Nick came home and the pair finally hit it off. Hannah started the conversation by calling back a list of problems she had with Nick that she wrote down after getting the “ick” in Mexico.

“It was respect, delusion, social consciousness, maturity, confidence versus ego. Those five concerns that I have are still there,” she explained. “They never went away because you kept repeating the same actions. Social consciousness, I don’t see it. You have no respect. Ego versus self-confidence, I feel like I have to stroke your ego so that you can be happy and I feel like you’re saying that you’re an extremely confident person and I’m making you insecure when it’s just ego, and it’s just delusions. It’s just, Lilke, you just can’t see how I feel.’

Nick said he was “sorry” that Hannah felt that way, but she moved on. “The Katie situation, for example,” she said. “I don’t know if you can use specific examples (of what went wrong), but I can. Because I remember things. I know you don’t.”

Feeling pushed too far, Nick accused Hannah of “throwing shade for no reason,” but Hannah insisted it was just “her truth.”

“But see how you always talk down to me?” Nick asked. “We are not equal here. It doesn’t feel that way at all. You think that for some reason I can’t take care of myself. You think I can’t take care of you, I can’t take care of anything.’

Hannah then asked what “responsibilities” Nick has in his life, and he replied, “Payments, my car, my gas, my insurance, that’s pretty much it right now. I currently live at home, so I don’t have to pay rent. My responsibilities are taking care of myself, taking care of my job, and making sure those around me are safe. I have a cat. … I’m a pretty simple guy.”

When Hannah asked if “simple men don’t need responsibilities,” he argued, “My responsibilities are to be the best son and friend I can.” Be successful in real estate. I try to take the initiative, but you keep bashing me and saying that I’m turning you from a boy into a man.

“It’s a bit too much to be honest,” he added.

Hannah explained that she wrote down her problems because she wanted to be able to convey all her “feelings” to him, even if this was the “last conversation” they ever had. “I’ve tried and tried, because I love you and I want this so bad. It’s just, when do I take off the rose-colored glasses and see this for what it is?”

Hannah also accused Nick of being fake, saying he called her before the cameras arrived to “make a plan” so he didn’t “look bad” during the breakup.

“I don’t know who you are, I don’t understand you,” she said, claiming in a confessional that Nick is “very good at telling people what they want to hear and I feel very manipulated and very weak… I just I don’t know if he’s even real.’

Hannah ended their conversation by saying they “weren’t getting married,” which Nick said was one of the “worst feelings of his life.”

“I thought I was good enough for you, but I was wrong all the time,” he continued. “I thought you understood me, but I was wrong all along. I love you, you know? So it’s going to suck. I will never think about you, you will always be in my heart.”
