BATON ROUGE — Games between rivals LSU Football and Ole Miss don’t need anything extra to add to the setting or significance.

But as Brian Kelly’s No. 10-ranked Tigers (4-1, 1-0 SEC) take the field against Lane Kiffin’s No. 8-ranked Rebels (5-1, 1-1), many have labeled this a pseudo-college. Football playoff play-in game between the two old SEC West foes.

Both teams’ quarterbacks are making headlines ahead of the monstrous showdown. LSU junior signal caller Garrett Nussmeier and Ole Miss senior quarterback Jaxson Dart are the two best players at their positions in the conference, according to statistics.
