MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) — A preliminary magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck the Malibu region Thursday morning, which rattled Southern California, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at around 7:28 a.m. at a depth of nearly six miles. It was originally recorded as a 5.1.

A few minutes later, an aftershock measuring 2.8 occurred.

There are no reports of injuries or damage.
