Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off for the second time in as many games in Thursday’s Europa League match against Porto.

The Portugal international was dismissed for two bookable offenses at Estadio do Dragao.

Fernandes was sent off for a dangerous tackle in United’s 3-0 defeat by Tottenham on Sunday. But a three-match ban was later overturned on appeal.

He was sent off in the 81st against Porto when he received a second yellow card for a high boot that caught defender Nehuén Pérez.

United were 3-2 down when Fernandes departed, having led 2-0 inside twenty minutes.
