The Mega Millions Jackpot rose to an estimated $740 million after no tickets matched the winning numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing.

The winning numbers drawn on Tuesday were 12, 41, 43, 52 and 55 with a Mega Ball of 9. The Megaplier was 4X.

No one won the estimated $681 million jackpot on Tuesday night, but a player in Kansas and another in Michigan hit all five white balls and won $1 million.

The next Mega Millions drawing takes place on Friday, with players attempting to win the estimated top prize of $740 million, which is a cash option of $366.3 million. It would be the seventh-largest prize if won on Friday.

Winners have the option to opt for the cash prize instead of the Mega Millions annuity, which is paid out in one lump sum followed by 29 annual payments.

According to the game, the odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 302,575,350.

The last time the Mega Millions jackpot was won was on June 4, when a player in Illinois matched all six numbers to take home a prize of $552 million. It’s the 10th-largest jackpot in the game’s history.

The record jackpot of $1.602 billion was won in Florida on August 8, 2023.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, plus Washington, DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The deadline for buy a ticket is 9:45 PM on the evening of the draws on Tuesday and Friday.
