LAS VEGAS – Our first major fall cooldown looms for Friday and this weekend as low pressure deepens to the west. It will be in the 60s this morning and sunshine and 90 degrees are on the menu for the next few afternoons. Wednesday will see partly cloudy weather, highs in the upper 80s and southwesterly winds gusting up to 25 mph. Thursday will bring 30 mph gusts, low 80s, a mix of clouds and sun, and leave a 10% chance of showers. Friday will bring north winds of 15 to 20 mph, mostly cloudy skies with a 20% chance of showers, and the coolest high temperature (68°C) since late April. Saturday will have north winds of 15 to 25 mph, waking temperatures in the 50s and daytime highs in the low 70s. The wind should drop below 25 km/h on Saturday evening. Both weekend days will be partly cloudy with a 10% chance of showers. We’ll wake up Sunday to the 50s and highs will be limited to the low 70s. Next week we’ll be back in the low 80s.
