The Netflix documentary ahead of the November 15 fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has revealed some unsavory information.

Tyson, who suffered a flare-up of a stomach ulcer that forced the fight to be postponed for three months, provided details of the medical emergency.

According to Tyson, the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion, it started during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on May 26.

“I went to the bathroom and threw up blood,” Tyson says on “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson.” ‘The next thing I know I’m on the ground. I was taking a tar shit.”

The source of the trauma, according to Tyson, was a 2.5-inch bleeding ulcer.

He was not completely surprised, as the three-part documentary shows. Episodes 1 and 2 premiere Thursday.

Reflecting on a week and a half before the incident, Tyson said: “I was doing great and then suddenly I started feeling tired and I explained to my trainer, I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”

Tyson, who was taken to a hospital after landing at Los Angeles International Airport, said he lost 26 pounds after the ulcer.

“Can you imagine that?” he said.

The weight loss wasn’t the only thing he said he found troubling.

“I asked the doctor, ‘Am I going to die?’ Tyson remembers. “And she didn’t say no. She said we do have options. Then I got nervous.”

By late July, Tyson was training at full capacity, his agent Andrew Ruf told USA TODAY Sports. Tyson has repeatedly said he is in good health.
