Mike Tyson punches his trainer and shows off his ripped torso, leading fans to think the fight against 27-year-old Jake Paul is ‘already done’ despite a 31-year age gap

  • Tyson will take on Jake Paul this Friday evening at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas
  • There is a 31-year age difference between Tyson, 58, and social media sensation Paul
  • The pair hit the ring for an open workout on Tuesday night and Tyson shined

Mike Tyson came out with all the gloves and this was just the public training.

The last thing a great boxer loses is his punch and the thud of leather on the pads was as thunderous as ever.

But what was most striking was the hand speed of the combinations. If Iron Mike has slowed in that area at age 58, it’s imperceptible.

He even impressed himself, telling a crowd of several thousand people at the Toyota Motor plant that he went back to the gym the first day after signing the contract to fight YouTuber Jake Paul at Dallas Cowboys Stadium on Friday night: ‘ I thought what the f*** have I done?’

He then added, “I went through the process and I feel great now.”

He took off his top to reveal a body as muscular as it was in his prime as a world champion. So when reminded that his family would all be ringside for the fight for centuries, he said, “My children will see that their father is someone very special.”

“They’ll also learn not to talk to me.”

The same lesson can also be taught to an opponent young enough to be his son, if Tyson connects with this kind of power he demonstrated here.

That said, Iron Mike left the venue early before Paul arrived to do his thing.

“Off to his Horlicks and to bed early,” said a smartass. “Whatever it takes, buddy.”

Tyson’s pounding on the pads reminded fans that he still has incredible punching power.

The former two-time world champion showed off his infamous left hook as he savagely pushed his trainer into a corner of the ring.

There were occasions when Tyson was so focused on showing his speed and power that he created three combinations that his coach did not expect.

Nevertheless, fans, both in the arena and online, remained in awe of the once undisputed heavyweight champion.

One excited fan wrote: ‘Mike Tyson still gets it! Jake Paul better be ready for a REAL fight!”

In the clip of Tyson’s training, some social media users have even suggested that 27-year-old social media star Paul will not make it past the first round.

“If Tyson can unleash one of those legendary punches early on, Mike Tyson could end it before Paul’s Instagram live feed even loads. 30 seconds or less,” one account wrote.

While another said: ‘He’ll be backing up Jake and uncorking that famous punch combo and I want to see how Jake reacts to that.’

Meanwhile, Paul takes a more relaxed approach to his training, taking to the arena with a bizarre hairstyle that resembles a chicken.

While the YouTuber turned boxer joked, he also showed off the plethora of combinations he plans to use on Friday night.

The highly anticipated fight, originally scheduled to take place in July, will be fought Friday evening at AT&T Stadium in Texas and streamed on Netflix.
