Serie A side Milan took their first win of the season in the Champions League, beating Club Brugge 3-1 at the San Siro in a match that did get nervous at one point.

Brugge was still down to ten men in the first half, but nevertheless it was 1-1 early in the second half, after Christian Pulisic’s goal in the Olimpico had given the Rossoneri the lead. Shortly afterwards, Milan took control and Tijjani Reijnders got a brace to seal all three points for the club.

It was the Dutchman’s first goal in Europe for Milan, despite having impressed for some time. He spoke to Heaven Italy about the game and revealed that he dreamed about the moment.

He said, as reported by TMW: “I dreamed, I waited for these first goals in the Champions League. I waited for one and two came: even better.”

He also stated that Milan were not great in the first half but definitely improved in the second half, allowing them to get all three points in a difficult match.

“In the first half we played too slowly, in the second we woke up after the equalizer.”

The match is a crucial win for Milan as they face Real Madrid next and if they had not won today they could have been in a difficult position.
