Milwaukee Bucks haven’t discussed Damian Lillard trade: report

The Milwaukee Bucks were one of the biggest surprises of the NBA season. But not in a good way.

The Bucks (2-8) have the second-worst record in the league, a record no one expected considering they have two of the biggest and most talented players in the league: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. They also have a talented roster and a good head coach in Doc Rivers. However, the Bucks have struggled offensively and defensively and are looking for answers.

According to a report from ESPN Insider Brian Windhorst, the Bucks have reportedly inquired about a trade. Apparently the Bucks are willing to part with someone not named Giannis or Damian.

“I was talking to people around the league about the Bucks and I heard people telling me, ‘You know the Bucks have been calling us about trades,’” Windhorst said Monday on ESPN’s “Hoop Collective” podcast. ‘ ‘And I’m about who?

“Not Giannis and not Dame,” said Windhorst in response to the director.

The Bucks are entering an important part of the schedule. They will play six of their next seven games at home, starting with hosting the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night. Lillard is in the league’s concussion protocol and will not play against the Raptors (2-9), who have the league’s worst record.

If the Bucks can’t stop their decline during this part of the schedule, dramatic changes could happen.
