The debut trailer for the Minecraft movie is now available, giving fans their first official look at the live-action adaptation.

Warner Bros.’ A Minecraft Movie, directed by Jared Hess, is the first-ever live-action adaptation of Minecraft, officially the best-selling video game of all time with a staggering 300 million copies sold.

The CGI-heavy film stars Jack Black as “expert crafter” Steve, also known as the playable character in the Minecraft video game. Wednesday’s Emma Myers, The Color Purple’s Danielle Brooks, Just Mercy’s Sebastian Eugene Hansen and Jennifer Coolidge star in the film, alongside Aquaman actor Jason Momoa.

The story follows four misfits – Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers) and Dawn (Brooks) – who find themselves in the world of Minecraft and must protect it from Piglins and Zombies on a mission to return home.
