Moore Public Schools evacuates Fairview Elementary after unknown devices are found on campus

Moore Public Schools evacuated Fairview Elementary after unknown devices were found outside on campus.

Oklahoma City Police are on scene and the investigation remains active.

The district said students and staff are safe and all students are being bused to Moore West Junior High (MWJH).

Students were evacuated with whatever items they had with them, the district said, so some students may not have backpacks, house keys or other necessities.

Parents and guardians are asked to avoid the Fairview campus.

Students can be checked out after 2:30 PM at the MWJH gym behind the school

Fairview bus riders will be picked up for their regular routes at MWJH at the normal time.

The district said students would not have their belongings if they were left on the Fairview campus.

“The safety and security of MPS students, staff and our campus locations are of the utmost importance, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation,” Moore Public Schools said. “We will provide an update once students have moved to MWJH.”
