Mor Ilderton leaves ‘The Voice’ and leaves Gwen Stefani’s team on the final night of the Knockout Round

Mor Ilderton has retired The voice and unexpectedly left Gwen Stefani’s team on the final night of the knockout round of the competition.

On Monday night’s episode of the NBC reality competition, Coach Stefani shared with Mega Mentor Sting that she only had Jan Dan and Sydney Sterlace on the hearing team.

“We had Mor, who I stole, but he had to go home, so it’ll just be the two of them,” she told the “Every Breath You Take” singer.

With Ilderton leaving the show, Sydney made it to the Playoffs, winning the Knockout Round, and Jan was pushed through after Stefani saved them.

It’s not clear why Ilderton left season 26 of the show, but his social media has been actively promoting a new single, ‘Stranger’, due out on Friday, November 22.

Ilderton’s departure comes a week after another participant signed up The voice. Country singer Tanner Frick made headlines last week when host Carson Daly told coach Michael Bublé that Frick had left the show.

“Michael, Tanner (Frick) left the competition after rehearsals. You still have Cameron (Wright) and Sloane (Simon),” Daly said, noting that Frick “left the competition after rehearsals.”

Frick did not reveal the reason for his departure, but shared a video on TikTok of himself singing and captioned the post: “No one wants me anyway.”

The singer auditioned for the coaches and sang Morgan Wallen’s “Thought You Should Know,” causing the four coaches to turn their chairs. Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Stefani were fascinated by Frick’s voice and fought to get him on their team.

Frick opted to go with McEntire, and heading into the Battles round of the competition, the singing hopeful performed Jelly Roll’s “Need a Favor” against fellow American Tate Renner. McEntire chose Renner to continue on her team, but Bublé came in to save him from elimination and join his team.

“Tanner Frick was a huge win for me,” Bublé said. “That’s a former turn of four chairs and a piece of the puzzle that I didn’t have.”

Bublé continued: “I needed that country singer and now I feel like I’m all in the game. It’s a brave new world we’re heading into.”
