More rain is expected as conditions cool in New Mexico

Expect an increased chance of showers as conditions become more fall-like over the next few days. View the latest conditions at KOB.com/Weather.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A cooldown is coming to New Mexico for the rest of the week, which also means more rain is possible after Tuesday.

That cooling will bring us to more fall-like conditions with high temperatures in the 60s and 70s. That will be thanks to a backdoor cold front that northeastern New Mexico will get first on Tuesday. Once it rushes through somewhere else, some canyon winds will kick up.

We have forecast at least 82° in Albuquerque for Tuesday. The record is 85° in 2016.

Meteorologist Alan Shoemaker shares all the details in his full forecast in the video above.
