After posting a cryptic teaser to social media on Monday, November 11, many fans speculated that emo rock titans My Chemical Romance were teasing their long-lost LP, The paper kingdom. Instead, however, it appears the band’s cryptic teaser was a placeholder for a North American stadium tour in 2025, and one that appears to celebrate My Chemical Romance’s iconic album. The Black Parade. This tour announcement comes on the heels of the band’s recent headlining performance at the Las Vegas emo rock festival When We Were Young, where MCR performed. The band posted the following announcement video showing the dates and opening acts for their 2025 “Long Live”: The Black Parade North American Tour.

MCR’s ten-date stadium tour will feature a variety of opening acts, with no returning bands on any of the selected dates. Modern rock outfits 100 Gecs, IDLES and Wallows will appear on the tour, alongside old school acts Pixies, Alice Cooper and Devo. It’s quite an interesting variety of groups that MCR has chosen for each of their shows, and it reflects the band’s wide range of musical influences over the years.
