Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., appeared somber and teary-eyed as she waited for defeated Vice President-designate Kamala Harris to deliver a concession speech Wednesday.

As Pelosi arrived at Howard University in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday afternoon, he was photographed greeting Harris supporters while looking tearful.

In one particularly emotional photo, Pelosi pouted as if on the verge of tears and had watery eyes. Other photos showed Pelosi smiling at the event and mingling with attendees.

Harris’ concession speech comes after a historic neck-and-neck presidential race ended early Wednesday morning with a victory for former President Trump. Although the election was expected to be a flop, the magnitude of Trump’s victory shocked both sides of the political aisle.

Pelosi and Trump harbor a lot of animosity towards each other and regularly insult each other in public. During a speech in Grand Rapids, Michigan, this week, Trump described Pelosi as something that “starts with a B.”

“She’s a bad, sick, crazy…” the Republican candidate said as he stopped. ‘It starts with a ‘B’, but I won’t say it. I want to say it.’

Pelosi has insulted Trump in the past, recently claiming during a recent appearance on MSNBC that he was suffering from “cognitive degeneration.”

In response, the Trump campaign insulted Pelosi in a statement to Fox News Digital.
