A 44-year-old man is dead after an overnight crash on the FE Everett Turnpike in Nashua, New Hampshire.

State police say a passerby alerted them around 1:12 a.m. Sunday after witnessing the single-vehicle crash on the northbound side of the turnpike. Responding troopers found a Kia Sorento and one person inside who was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Christopher Duval, of Merrimack.

According to a preliminary investigation, State Police Duval lost control of his vehicle while driving in the far right lane in the area of ​​Exit 8. The Kia crossed several lanes to the left and collided head-on with the center median. said.

Duval died from his injuries in the crash.

Nashua police and firefighters assisted state police at the scene, with the left two lanes north of Exit 8 closed for approximately two hours as they investigated.
