NBA News: Thunder’s Caruso makes a point about the comparisons between Holmgren and Anthony Davis

The Oklahoma City Thunder are off to a good start with two impressive wins to open the NBA regular season, thanks in part Chet Holmgrens breakout performances. Holmgren’s play draws comparisons to the NBA star Anthony DavisAnd Alex Caruso did not shy away from giving his opinion on the matter.

The comparisons started with Davis after Holmgren’s strong performance against Chicago, where he grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds. After the game, Caruso was asked if he saw similarities with his former Lakers teammate.

The AD comparison is tough just because AD is so good where he is in his career, and Chet clearly has a long way to go to match that, but I think he has his destiny in his own hands.‘, said Caruso.

“Whatever he wants to achieve in this competition, he has it in front of him,” Caruso continued. “ He has the work ethic, he has the competitiveness. If you have those two things where you have the ability to get better, you have the desire to get better, and you have the work ethic to get better, if you have those things, you can control your own destiny in the NBA.”

Just because of his skill, and then he’s a tenacious competitor,” he added. He wants to improve. He wants to get better. He wants to be great and he wants to win. And those are things that are phenomenal to see as a young player, and of course you also like to see that as a teammate.”

Holmgren makes Thunder history
