The Farmers’ Almanac notes these dates this winter, when New York could experience “copious amounts of snow.”

On Saturday, meteorologist Ben Noll released his winter outlook for the Hudson Valley for 2024-2025.

The Farmers’ Almanac thinks the upcoming winter in New York will likely be “wet” and cold thanks to La Nina.

The Farmers’ Almanac is warning everyone in New York to “brace themselves” for a winter of “rapid-fire storms.” Some storms bring snow, others rain with “little downtime.”

The Farmers’ Almanac appears to agree with Noll’s forecast of some “well-timed” storms as they “red flag” the last week of January in New York and the Northeast.

An “active storm track” is expected to bring “frequent periods of heavy precipitation” and high winds, officials say.

“We especially want to highlight the time periods of January 20 to 23 and January 24 to 27, which could mean large amounts of snow, rain, sleet and ice (depending on where you live),” says the Farmers’ Almanac.
