NFL RedZone free live stream, TV channel: 2024 streaming options, Week 1 trial preview to watch without cable

NFL RedZone returns for another season as Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season kicks off with a full slate of games on Sunday. If you want to watch but don’t have cable, you can watch NFL RedZone for free today on Sunday, September 8 from 10am PT/1pm ET (12pm CT).

Watch NFL Red Zone live for free in Week 1 with Fubo (free trial) or with DirecTV Stream (free trial). You can also watch with Sling if you’re out of free trials (cheapest streaming plans, $25 off your first month).

What tv channel is NFL RedZone on? How can I watch it for free today?

If you have burning questions about where to watch RedZone for free, where to get a free trial, and what the best streaming service is to watch it on, we’ve got you covered. If you already have cable or satellite service, you can Find out more about which channel NFL RedZone is airing in your area by using the channel finders here: Comcast Xfinity, DIRECTV, Dish, Verizon Fios, Spectrum/Charter, Optimum/Altice.

What streaming services have NFL RedZone? Which service is best?

Currently, the best major streaming services to offer NFL RedZone are Fubo, Sling, and DirecTV Stream, particularly for fans in the Pacific Northwest. All of these platforms offer a free trial or promotional discounts for new sign-ups.

No. 1 Sling TV Blue package ($40/monthplus the $11/month to add the “Sports Extra” package which includes NFL RedZone and more)

Sling ranks as the #1 option for sports fans in the Pacific Northwest because it’s the cheapest way to watch the NFL RedZone channel and other more live sports, though they do have two plans that split up the major sports channels, which can be inconvenient for any fan who needs access to all of them. NFL RedZone is only included in the Sports Extra package when purchased with the “Blue” plan, which is an $11 add-on. To get the best value that includes NFL RedZone, grab the Sling Blue + Sports Extra package for $51/month (with the promotional offer, your first month is only $31 total). There are no long-term contracts and you can cancel the service at any time. Stream quality and reliability are solid. You can also supplement your Sling subscription with an over-the-air HDTV antenna for your TV, which will give you full NFL games broadcast locally in your area on CBS, FOX, and NBC.

No. 2 Fubo (free trial, then $94.99/monthplus the additional $11/month “Sports Plus” package to add NFL RedZone)

Not only does Fubo have NFL RedZone as an option, they also have most of the channels that would carry nationally televised NFL football games (such as FOX, NBC, and CBS, as well as local ABC affiliates and ESPN networks). The only major sports channels they don’t have at the moment are Turner affiliates like TNT, TBS, and others. While the total monthly cost comes to $105.99/month for the package that includes NFL RedZone, Fubo does allow you to have at least two simultaneous viewers. This means you can purchase the service and share your login with a friend or family member to split the monthly cost and really save some money.

Another big selling point for Fubo in regards to cord-cutting sports fans in the Pacific Northwest is that Fubo also has ROOT Sports as part of its lineup of core channel packages if you live in the region. ROOT Sports is the broadcast partner for the Seattle Kraken and Seattle Mariners. If you’re a sports fan between Seattle and Portland, there really is no better option for a cord-cutting service.

And, here’s a more important reason to go with Fubo: If you’re a college football fan, DirecTV is currently embroiled in a carriage dispute with Disney, and all ESPN networks are currently blocked from DirecTV Stream’s service until the companies can reach a resolution. This affects anyone who wants to watch the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies on the Big Ten Network, as well as any other college games you want to watch on ABC or ESPN.

No. 3 DirecTV stream (free trial, then $79.99/monthplus the additional $15/month “Sports Pack” to add NFL RedZone)

The downside to DirecTV Stream is that it doesn’t have plans that include the Pac-12 Network, but the price to watch NFL RedZone there is still high. It does have ROOT Sports available with its “Choice” package, though, so that’s at least an option if Sling or Fubo don’t work for you.

Honorable Mention: YouTube TV and Hulu + Live are also good options for streaming sports in general, and both offer plans that include NFL RedZone. However, they aren’t the best options for sports fans in the Pacific Northwest, as neither service carries ROOT Sports, both of which carry most of the local broadcasts for the region’s professional sports and college teams.
