– Tampa Bay outgained Washington 392-299 (+93). The Buccaneers’ 392 net yards on offense are the club’s third-highest total since the start of the 2023 season.

His 146.4 passer rating was the highest total in the NFL through Sunday’s 4:00 p.m. ET slate and marked Mayfield’s fourth-highest single-game passer rating of his career. Mayfield’s 146.4 passer rating is the second-highest Week 1 passer rating in franchise history, trailing only Ryan Fitzpatrick’s 156.2 in Week 1 of the 2018 season with New Orleans.

– WR Mike Evans brought in five receptions for 61 yards and two touchdowns. With his five receptions today, Evans surpassed Eric Mallen, James LoftonAnd Chad Johnson to tie for the 41st most receptions (767) in NFL history. With his two touchdowns on the day, Evans surpassed Eric Dickerson (96) for the 26th-most touchdowns in NFL history, surpassing Davante Adams (active – 95) for the 12th-most receiving touchdowns in NFL history. Since the start of the 2020 season, Evans’ 48 touchdown receptions are second-most in the NFL.

– WR Chris Godwin finished with eight receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown. With his touchdown reception, Godwin moved into second place in franchise history in touchdown receptions (35), breaking a tie with Jimmie Giles. Godwin now has the second-most receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in club history – trailed only by teammate Mike Evans in all three categories.

-RB Rachaad White finished with 106 yards from scrimmage, with 75 receiving yards and 31 rushing yards. It was White’s eighth game with 100+ yards from scrimmage since the start of the 2023 season. White had a career-high 107 yards after the catch on Sunday.

– WR Jalen McMillan brought in one reception – a 32-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield. He was the 10and player in franchise history to score a touchdown in his first career game, becoming the first player to score a touchdown on his first career reception since Trey Palmer accomplished the feat in Week 1 of the 2023 season against Minnesota.

-RB Bucky Irving collected a team-high 62 rushing yards on nine carries (6.9 average). His 6.9 yards per carry is the highest mark by a Buccaneer in their first career game (min. 2 carries) in franchise history.

White And Irving became the first pair of Tampa Bay running backs to each rush for 75-plus yards since Peyton Barber and Jacquizz Rodgers did so on Oct. 23, 2016, against San Francisco.

– S Jordan Whitehead finished with a team-high eight tackles in his first game back as a member of the Buccaneers. He also added one pass defense.

-LB SirVocea Dennis recorded a personal-best six tackles (one for loss), adding his first career sack and a quarterback hit.

– OLB Joe Tryon-Shoyinka recorded Tampa Bay’s first sack of the season, dropping Jayden Daniels on a strip sack

– K Pursuit McLaughlin went 3-for-3 on field goal attempts today, scoring from 56, 34 and 29 yards. He added four extra points for a total of 13 kicking points on the night — tied for the third-most in a single game of his career. McLaughlin has kicked multiple field goals in 13 of the 18 games since joining the Buccaneers.
