The cold air is flowing back into Green Country as a very, very busy holiday week begins!

After near-record warmth and southerly winds on Sunday, a cold front will bring much colder temperatures and stiff northerly winds back to eastern Oklahoma on Monday. Today’s cold front is the first of three cold fronts moving through the Green Country this week!

Temperatures will remain in the 40s for most of our Monday, with some late breaks of sunshine pushing us briefly into the lower 50s by mid to late afternoon.

Tuesday will be a calmer day as high pressure settles in, with subnormal lows in the morning and highs in the 50s Tuesday afternoon.

Another strong cold front will move into Oklahoma Wednesday afternoon, with temperatures dropping in the late hours. Wednesday’s cold front remains mainly dry, with a very small chance of some light showers behind the front on Wednesday night.

That cold front on Wednesday will bring a holiday chill for Thanksgiving Thursday! The north wind will be quite cold on Thanksgiving morning, but will thankfully decrease by Thanksgiving afternoon. Plan for highs in the mid 40s on Thanksgiving!

Our third cold front of the week arrives on Saturday, with even bigger cold snaps at the end of the holiday weekend. But little moisture is expected in the coming days.
