The Hunter region of New South Wales was hit by another earthquake on Saturday, a day after a similar event.

The magnitude 4.5 quake struck at 4:40 p.m. in the same area as Friday, near Muswellbrook.

The earthquake occurred after a series of aftershocks measuring 2.5 to 2.7 during the day.

According to NSW Ambulance, there are no reports of injuries.

According to the State Emergency Service, the damage so far has been minimal.

According to energy supplier Ausgrid, there was a temporary power outage in the area, but the power supply has now been fully restored.
