The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and long-running crossword. Most days there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five-by-five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you have one NYT Game subscription for access to previous puzzles in the archives.

To help you avoid getting stuck and having to reveal missing letters, here are the NYT Mini Crossword Answers for Friday, November 29 (Of course, there are spoilers ahead):

It cost me 0:31 to complete today’s day NYT Mini.

It would have been a bit embarrassing for me if I hadn’t gotten Yahoo right away, since I’ve been writing for a Yahoo publication since 2018. The AWARD was also simple enough (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony).

I missed RANDO (which made sense in hindsight, but I never would have guessed) and DINNER. However, I got all the Down directions for a pretty quick fix. HANNA is of course a reference to Hanna-Barbera, the animation powerhouse behind, among others The Flintstones, Yogi Bear And The Jetsons.
