Oasis announce reunion shows for 2025

As announced, the Gallagher brothers are back. Following rumours in early 2023 that they were planning a series of reunion shows, Noel and Liam Gallagher confirmed today that Oasis will kick off the first leg of their Oasis Live ’25 tour in July next year, kicking off with a run of shows in the UK and Ireland. The trek will mark the Gallagher brothers’ first tour together since the band’s acrimonious split in 2009. Speaking about the seismic news, Oasis said in press releases: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see it. It will not be televised.” Below is their itinerary.

For the first leg of their live reunion, Oasis will perform in a number of cities in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, from July 4 to August 17, 2025. The band’s press release states that there are plans to extend the tour to countries outside of Europe and the UK later next year.

Oasis split in 2009, when Noel Gallagher left the band because he “just couldn’t work with Liam one more day.” Noel had left in the past after feuds with Liam, sometimes on stage, but these lingered. In 2011, Liam sued Noel for libel and there were few rumours of a reunion until 2017, when Liam and Noel were reportedly set to reunite at a benefit concert in Manchester for victims of the Ariana Grande concert bombing. Noel ended up skipping the show, and then again reportedly at Grande’s One Love Manchester benefit concert. Liam apologized for his brother’s absence. “Noel’s out of the fucking country,” he wrote. “Aren’t we all in love? Get on a fucking plane and play your songs for the children you pathetic twat.”

In 2020, Liam urged Noel to reunite for charity once the COVID-19 pandemic subsided, but his brother postponed it again. Noel was the frontman for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, whose latest album is due in 2023. Council Air. Liam was the frontman of the band Beady Eye, but they split up in 2014. His own solo career really took off with the 2017 album As you were; his last one is from 2022 Come on, you know.
